National Number Partners is a volunteering scheme designed to support young people aged 7 to 14 to improve attainment, confidence and motivation in numeracy in schools across the UK. Groups of volunteers from a business or the wider community visit a local school once a week for half an hour to play simple number games, while acting as aspirational role models.

In 2015, we launched a campaign to expand Number Partners nationally, aspiring to engage more volunteers in more areas to make a national impact on young people’s numeracy skills and confidence. Read more here.

Number Partners is about so much more than maths. Volunteers impact not just attainment, but also motivation, concentration, enthusiasm and aspirations. See a summary of our most recent evaluation here and the full report here.
National Number Partners is managed by the Tower Hamlets Education Business Partnership and steered by a Consortium of business and community voices, and currently supported by the Man Group.
